Brynhill has often been described by visitors as ‘The Hidden Jewel in the Vale’.
Brynhill Golf Club is a beautiful 18-hole course with breathtaking views of the Vale of Glamorgan. Measuring 6500 yards and featuring four par fives, it is both challenging and enjoyable for golfers of all ages and skill levels. The course was designed by Dave Thomas, renowned for designing the Ryder Cup layout at the Belfry's Brabazon Course.
In addition to its challenging parkland course, Brynhill Golf Club also offers excellent hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. In June 2024 we opened one of Wales’ largest indoor simulator rooms with a 5.2m screen and using the new Falcon simulator from Foresight sports.
Golfers can receive coaching and advice from the club's full-time professionals with the highly regarded PGA Professional Leon Warne as Director Of Golf, and PGA Professional Jordan Taylor..As well as shop for golfing essentials at the fully stocked Golf Pro shop.
Whether you are an experienced player looking for a regular golfing destination, a beginner just starting out in the game, or a business seeking corporate facilities, Brynhill Golf Club has something for you.

When you play golf at Brynhill, you'll cover a distance of 4.3 miles and take around 10,000 steps during an 18-hole round. This offers exceptional mental and physical health benefits.

Our brand new indoor simulator room boasts a state-of-the-art Falcon overhead simulator and has one of the largest screens in the country at 5.2m. BRYNHILL COMPLETES NEW FOYER / RECEPTION AREA RENOVATION
On Saturday 14th September Brynhill opened its new foyer / reception area. As part of the refurbishment, we’ve made some thoughtful improvements to enhance the overall experience for everyone. The entrance to the lounge has been widened by a few inches to better accommodate wheelchair users ensuring that Brynhill remains accessible and welcoming to all. We have installed a nice lounge glass door etched with our branding so you can see through to the golf course. You’ll also notice new signage throughout, and we’ve removed the old cleaner’s cupboard near the toilets. In its place, you’ll find sleek acrylic signage and A3 frames that will display event information and club updates. We’ve also installed a new 47” infotainment screen in the foyer, which will showcase all aspects of the club as changeable movie slides. This screen can be used to welcome visitors with personal messages for parties, weddings, or other events, helping to make their experience at Brynhill even more special.
KYRON SULLIVAN BREAKS BRYNHILL 20 YEAR COURSE RECORD
On Saturday 13th July 2024, during the 1st round of the Captains Prize, Kyron Sullivan has just made his first bogey of the round on the 11th hole. Kyron then stood on the 12th tee at 2 under par and proceeded to birdie holes 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 before narrowly missing a birdie putt on 18! This resulted in Kyron finishing at 8 under par for a 64 and a new course record. The existing course record of 65 shot by Andy Dodd in 2004 has finally been broken and in some style too! Congratulations Kyron. Brynhill is very proud of you.
“THE NEST” LAUNCHES 1st SIM TOURNAMENT IN JULY OPEN MONTH
With 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes “The Nest” is launching Open Month for the whole of July. Play Royal Troon in our Simulator Open Championship Tournament, the venue of the 2024 Open Championship. We cant wait for this. One of the greatest and most renowned links courses in Scotland, Royal Troon never fails to challenge the skills of even the most seasoned player. This nine-time Open Championship host has deep rough interspersed with gorse and broom that demand uncanny accuracy with each and every shot.

NEW PRO-SHOP & INDOOR ACADEMY GRAND OPENING DAY
On June 8th Brynhill Golf Club held their first Academy Championship to celebrate the grand opening of the new pro-shop and indoor academy. Boasting one of the largest sim bays and screens in Wales, it is a fantastic set up that is set to draw in the golfers from all over the Vale. We have St.Andrews, Pebble Beach, Royal Troon ready for the Open in July and also Abu-Dhabi Desert course amongst 30 others. Our brand new Pro-Shop opened the same day run by Director Of Golf LEON WARNE and it looks fantastic. The shop has the latest equipment on offer and this coupled with the new indoor academy means that you can easily get fitted for new clubs by Leon and his team. Come and see it for yourself.
DIRECTOR OF GOLF APPOINTED
We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Leon Warne (PGA Professional) as the Director Of Golf Brynhill Golf Club.
Leon's confirmation marks an exciting new chapter for our club, and we couldn't be more delighted to welcome him back to his roots.
Having grown up in Barry and honed his skills at Brynhill as a Junior Golfer, Leon brings over 30 years of invaluable experience to our club. His journey began in 1992 as the Head Assistant Professional at Peterstone Lakes Golf Club, swiftly followed by a prestigious role at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club, where he contributed to the preparation and execution of high-profile events, including the Walker Cup.
In 1997, Leon's talent led him to become the Head Professional at The Grove Golf Club, where he became the youngest PGA Professional in Wales to assume such a role. His dedication and expertise shone through during his 20-year tenure before he moved to Pontypool Golf Club as Head Professional. There, he spearheaded the development of an indoor golf academy business, offering custom fitting services and elite coaching.

The Games Room consists of 2 Winmau professional dartboards with Winmau surrounds, Winmau throwing mats and high grade LED lighting. We also have a 7ft Signature Tournament Pro Edition Pool Table. It is a stunning commercial table, played by professionals of the highest standards using Aramith balls. The room also has its very own 75” Samsung smart TV showing Sky Sports.
In conjunction with the indoor golf academy and golf simulator coming soon, this will be a great addition to a tremendous value golf membership.
